Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wife loves this We bought the Nature's Miracle automatic litter box and my wife absolutely loves it. She used to manually scoop the litter and now she just has to throw away the container when it's full. Wife's only complaint is the lid for the boxes don't secure easily to the litter box and often takes a few attempts to get it to stay in place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Updating my April Review After using the automatic litter box for ~2mo. I've found it to be more work than just scooping a conventional box. The bins do not fit well as the front edge pops loose from the main unit allowing litter and clumps to fall between to the floor. The track for the mechanism collects litter. The rake constantly gets stuck on the clumps that always stick to the bottom of the pan in spite of using Natures Miracle Clumping Litter. The latches will not stay closed even though the top is correctly placed. Also the bin top keeps getting stuck in the open position. This is a poor design and I do not recommend it. I recently purchased a Smart Scoop Automatic Litter system and it's working beautifully. Totally different design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Containers! These containers are wonderful. The automatic litter box and using these containers makes for easy clean-up and an always clean and odorless litterbox. The only problem I discovered is that the carbon filters are not included with the containers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Could be better The receptacles are not the correct size for my multi-car box. The notches on the bottom are not deep enough to sit in the box. The top edge of the receptacle is also too short to reach the tabs on the machine. I can overcome the issue with the notches by pushing the plastic deeper but the front edge leads to a mound of litter collecting under the machine. If the next batch is like this I send back one of my altered ones with tips for their engineers on tweaking the design. But for that I'd expect to receive an engineers wage.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from odor control receptacle Container too easy to fall apart and cover does not lock to the insert and hold tie. I have to tape it down. The litter box itself is hard to clean for the remain glue on the bottom. The receptacle need to make it stronger to hold litter as well as the top. Both of my cats are big cat that the litter with cover does not fit them and one of them ran away from the room when the machine did the scooping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Saves time and easy disposal Work fairly well with automatic litter box. Not a tight fit as you end up with litter underneath that you have to sweep. I greatly appreciate that I do not have to scoop 1-2 times per day, and each receptacle lasts about 2 days with 2 cats. Absolutely love the easy disposal!! Just bag and dispose the full container and insert a new one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Catches All the Poo Works great if you have the Nature's Miracle automatic litter box. Sometimes doesn't stay in place as well as it should, but it works. It's up to you if ease of collecting poo (which tends to smell if you don't empty regularly) is worth the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from SAD I purchased the Natures Miracle littler liners 3 mil. I was thrilled, Even though they were more expensive, I was using 2 other liners that were only 2 mil from a different manufature. The box I bought had 27 liners in it. I was very disappointed since in 3 days there was a hole in the liner. Thank goodness I had two other liners underneath yours. I want you to know that my cat does not have front nails and back nails are trimed every 2 wks. Maybe these were an inferior box of this product.

are there different containers for the multi-cat automatic litter box? The ones I get are very flimsy and I struggle every time to get them out.

Asked by: MicheleR
Thanks for asking Michele. There is only one waste receptacle currently made for the Littermaid systems. Consumers have shared that when they have trouble with the receptacles themselves they will line them with a grocery bag. It is also possible the receptacles you got experienced a batch issue. For replacement please email your shipping information to techsupport.natures-miracle@spectrumbrands.com.

Do the NMF300 receptacles work in place of the NMF200? We just got this system set up and are looking for more receptacles and can only find NMR300.

Asked by: Jodie
Thanks for asking Jodie. The replacement receptacles are all the same size. You can get the disposable receptacles with the carbon (NMRF200) or without the filters (NMR300). Does that answer your question?

Do the Odor Control Receptacles not come with the small carbon filters?

I've purchased two boxes of the "odor control receptacles" and the first box had 17 receptacles and no carbon filters (which I thought were included), and 18 lids. The second box had all the receptacles and lids advertised, but didnt include the carbon filters. The receptacles are quite expensive, and looking at the box, there was no indication that the carbon filters were not included.
Asked by: NancyHuber
The NMR300, 18 pk, does not come with carbon filters. It comes with a 2 piece base and cover, as well as the receptacles. The NMRF200, Odor Control Filters and Receptacles, comes with 4 receptacles, a 2 piece cover and base that seals and eliminates most odors, and 4 carbon filters. BREX

how popular are these automatic boxes

Asked by: Gracie
Extremely popular. Many people do not wish to deal with the scoop and bag method of cleaning a litterbox. This method makes removing the waste much easier. The boxes also contain the litter easier than many of the standard litter boxes. B-Rex

  • Place disposable waste receptacle into the waste receptacle compartment, making sure that the receptacle is aligned properly with the receptacle supports.
